As one of the biggest print processors in Europe, hollmann offers all prerequisites to handle large print runs quickly and flexibly: high performance production, experienced staff, extensive service and perfect logistics make this possible. Around 130 million catalogues, magazines and address books can therefore be processed and despatched annually.

hollmann has thereby exclusively specialised in the processing of adhesive bound print products and gained significant know-how which you can take advantage of when planning your media; especially when it is important to avoid technical “cost traps” or optimise international postage costs. A special area that hollmann, a French company within a German group of companies with clients from various countries, is very familiar with.

The development of hollmann S.A.

  • 1953 hollmann is founded by Karl-Heinz Hollmann in Darmstadt. The company produces catalogues, brochures and books – including hard covers. There is even a Pappbuchstrasse (paperback street).

  • 1983 the family sells the company to the Sebaldus group.

  • 1990 the company starts specialising in adhesive binding. Pappbuchstrasse is initially relocated to the subsidiary sachsendruck in Plauen. The offset printer is a specialist in children’s books and specialised products.

  • 1993 the adhesive binding unit is relocated to the location in the French Hambach and at the same time expanded by a single unit packing facility.

  • 1995 hollmann gives up the production of hardcover books and concentrates on the adhesive binding installation in Hambach.

  • 2003 in Hambach hollmann processes up to 130 million adhesive bound catalogues, magazines and advertising materials annually and takes over all letter shop services through to despatch.
