Logistics for printing products is still a highly fragmented process today with correspondingly diverse interfaces. Alongside placing printing or processing orders with a graphics company (printing or processing firm), customers make separate freight contracts for the delivery of the finished products. Separate freight contracts may also be necessary for purchasing goods. This severe fragmentation leads to diverse interfaces in the process and correspondingly high coordination expense. Furthermore, time management, transport capacities and therefore transport costs can be optimised as much as possible.
